Binura Fernando is a Sri Lankan left-arm pace bowler who offers a different angle and useful seam-bowling skills. Born on July 4, 1995, in Colombo, he developed through the domestic game and has represented Sri Lanka in limited-overs international cricket. His height and left-arm delivery can create awkward angles for batters, while changes of pace can help him manage different stages of a T20 innings.

Fernando was included in Sri Lanka's T20I squad for the October 2026 Pakistan tour. His role is to provide a seam option capable of bowling in the powerplay and supporting the attack through the middle overs. As with other fast bowlers, consistency, workload management, and the ability to execute plans under pressure are important to his contribution to the national side.
