Brendan Taylor is an experienced Zimbabwean cricketer who has played a significant role in the country's international batting history. Born on February 6, 1986, in Harare, he established himself as a technically capable batter and wicketkeeper. His game combines traditional batting technique with the ability to score quickly when required, and his experience has made him a respected figure in Zimbabwean cricket.

Taylor has represented Zimbabwe in all three international formats and has produced memorable innings throughout his career. After periods away from international cricket, he returned to the ODI setup in 2026, bringing experience to a team that also includes emerging players. His inclusion in the October ODI squad provides Zimbabwe with an experienced batting option and wicketkeeping cover for the UAE tri-series.
