Dushmantha Chameera is a Sri Lankan fast bowler known for his pace, bounce, and ability to challenge batters with the new ball. Born on January 11, 1992, in Ragama, he developed through Sri Lanka's cricket system and became an important pace option across limited-overs formats. His ability to bowl quickly and attack the stumps gives the team a different dimension compared with its spin-heavy bowling resources.

Chameera has represented Sri Lanka internationally and has also played in franchise competitions. His pace can be especially useful during powerplays and at the end of an innings, although workload and fitness management are important for fast bowlers. He was named in Sri Lanka's October 2026 ODI and T20I squads, with his T20I participation subject to fitness, and remains an experienced member of the pace attack.
