Kundai Matigimu is a Zimbabwean bowler who has earned an opportunity in the national T20I setup. He has developed through domestic cricket and is working to translate his skills into the demands of international competition. Seam bowlers in T20 cricket need to combine accuracy with changes of pace and the ability to execute plans during the powerplay and at the end of an innings.

Matigimu was included in Zimbabwe's T20I squad for the October 2026 series against Afghanistan, replacing Brad Evans for the third match of the planned series. This opportunity provides valuable exposure and a chance to show how his bowling can contribute at international level. Continued development in control, variation, and handling pressure will help him compete for a more regular role in Zimbabwe's bowling attack.
