Zia Ur Rahman Akbar is an Afghan left-arm spinner who has earned selection in the national Test squad. He has developed his skills through domestic cricket and has worked his way into Afghanistan's longer-format plans.

His ability to bowl controlled spells and create pressure with spin makes him a useful option for Test cricket. He continues to develop his international game while competing for a regular place in Afghanistan's bowling attack.
